Bones Hooks Pool

Concerns over child safety and the value of a swimming pool were the top concerns at the Bones Hook Pool public meeting on Tuesday.

About 20 neighborhood residents gathered to voice their concerns and support of removing the pool and putting in a water spray playground.

The park and recreation team says they will evaluate the suggestions and make a final decision within the next few weeks.

The project is expected to cost nearly 250-thousand dollars and would make it the largest "Splash Pad" in Amarillo.
