Web Exclusive: Clovis Suspect Turns Herself In

Clovis police tell us Veronica Galvan turned herself into authorities on Christmas Day. Galvan and Jerry Casiano were wanted for questioning in the homicide of 54 year old Elizabeth McAdams. Galvan and Casiano were being sought for questioning related to the Murder case, but neither one is suspected of taking part in the crime. Investigators say Casiano and Galvan may have material information about a third suspect, who is in police custody.

Fire crews responded to McAdams' home in the 1600 block of North Lea street on December 20th. Several small fires were started in the home that investigators believe were started to cover up the murder of McAdams. She was found dead inside her home with her throat cut.

A third suspect, whose name is not being released at this time, is in custody, but is not charged with murder as of yet. Authorities are awaiting forensic evidence from Santa Fe before this suspect can be charged.

If anyone has information about this murder is asked to call the Clovis Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at (575) 769-1921 or Curry County Crime Stoppers at (575) 763-7000.
