The push to bring an elderly man convicted of theft is hitting a road block at the hospital. A local "Bail Jumper" may be using Amarillo hospitals as a way to hide from bond agents.
That is why local bond agents are offering some extra Christmas cash for your help bringing in this week's "Bail Jumper".
Bond agent Chris Konnecky says local businesses have been hit by 60-year old Gilbert Estrada. "The gentleman has a stealing problem been in and out of jail most of his adult life. We bailed him out and judge set the bond because of his ailing health," Konnecky said.
After being convicted twice for felony theft, Konnecky says Estrada's health may be the only thing that leads to his arrest. "He's not a well man we've had him out most of the time had him at the hospital up until the time he had to go to court. He wasn't in the hospital or anywhere to be found," Konnecky said.
Another "Bail Jumper" bond agents hope you can help find is Jennifer Alvarado. She is wanted for not following her probation on felony drug possession and forgery charges. Bond agent Ron Green says Alvarado has the potential to commit more crimes in our area. "Hopefully somebody will call me and put her where she needs to be and she spend the holidays behind bars starting to do her time, Green said.
