Asthma Medication Ban

The FDA is advising people to stop taking some asthma medication that they say can be harmful to your health.

The asthma drug Foradil and Serevant contain an ingredient that relaxes muscles around stressed airways. Doctors say that ingredient can mask symptoms that can trigger life-threatening asthma attacks.

The only drug the FDA is sparing is Advair. They say the medication contains an ingredient that reduces inflammation inside breathing passages which may help patients avoid breathing problems.
