VATICAN CITY (AP) _ The Vatican says Pope Benedict has expressed concern over the fate of two Roman Catholic nuns kidnapped in Kenya this month. The two Italian nuns, Maria Teresa Olivero and Caterina Giraudo, were working on hunger and health programs in Kenya. Gunmen kidnapped them Nov. 10 and took them across the border into lawless Somalia.
Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, says the pope is following their kidnapping "with concern.'' The pontiff expressed hope that the painful and gravely unjust situation may be resolved as soon as possible.
