New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson wants to make sure the highways are safe for drivers this holiday season.
Governor Richardson announced the kick off of the "Winter Super-Blitz" Monday. Law enforcement will be stepping up patrols to catch drunk drivers, speeders and unsafe driving. The patrols will run from November 21 through January 4th. More than $2.3 million dollars goes to more than 85 New Mexico agencies to increase patrols.
