Early Morning House Fire

The people who live at Southeast 8th Avenue and Cleveland Street are safe this morning after an early morning house fire.

Amarillo Fire Investigators are currently looking into what caused the blaze around three this morning.

Both families inside the duplex made it out safely, however some people received treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters also had to rescue a dog trapped inside. The fire charred at least one room and smoke damaged the rest of the home.

The Red Cross also helped out victims at the scene.
