Guymon PD Gets $4,000 To Fight Drunk Driving

$4,000 dollars in equipment and training is headed to Guymon to help stop drunk driving.

Guymon police are one of six law enforcement agencies across Oklahoma to receive the funding. Guymon police Chief Eddie Adamson says they will use the money for in-car cameras and speed-detecting radars.

For two weeks in mid-August of this year, law enforcement in Oklahoma reported 1,200 DUI arrests during the crackdown. The Oklahoma State Highway Office says this money will help cut down on the number of alcohol-related crashes and fatalities.
