Delta Enterprises has issued a voluntary recall of nearly 1.6 million of it's drop-side cribs after two infants died.
The company says cribs made between 1995 and 2005 require safety pegs that consumers may have lost during re-assembly.
If the safety pegs that are supposed to prevent the drop-side of the crib from lowering too far are not installed, or if they fail to engage, the drop-side can detach and create a dangerous gap.
Both infants suffocated in their cribs.
The recall does not affect any cribs in retail inventory now.
The company has set up a Web site at www.cribrecallcenter.com for consumers to visit.
