Another round of economic stimulus checks could be coming. The president and federal reserve chairman announced their openness to the plan today... Depending on what the money goes to.. Something one of our local representatives is also curious about.

U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry from Clarendon says, "Tax provisions that would help create jobs, help the economy grow. The only way we are going to get out of this financial situation is through the people who work hard pay their taxes and create jobs and economic growth, so any so called stimulus needs to really focus on those people and those businesses."

Democrats have pushed hard for the bill, that right now is proposed to cost around 150 billion dollars.

Some in Washington are skeptical the plan will be passed before a new president takes over the white house.

Backers of the proposal say it would help stabilize the economy as the financial markets continue to waver.
