One man's name was mentioned more times than the Iraq war in last night's Presidential Debate... He is Joe Wurzelbacher from Toledo, Ohio. He is now known now as Joe the Plumber.
He became famous earlier this week when he confronted Barack Obama saying his plan to tax those making more than $250,000 a year would prevent him from owning his own plumbing business. Since then, he's become a household name and in doing so, he's given an Amarillo man, Joe Francis, his own fifteen minutes of fame.
The reason... Francis is known as Joe the Plumber as well... He's been in business in Amarillo for years, and his office manager Ronnie Phillips says the whole thing has been surreal. It all started last night at 8:00. "I got a phone call when I was walking into my house and they were saying that Joe was the most famous man in America. And I heard people yelling in the background and I thought it was a prank."
