Amarillo and Canyon schools have some work to do to meet federal standards in the classroom.
Nine Amarillo schools missed the AYP ranking in mathematics or reading. And two schools in Canyon ISD missed the mathematic standards. None of those schools reached the most advanced level of failing, which is stage five.
