A Local Bank Making A Difference

It's a building blitz in Amarillo...and it's all because Bank of America employees want to help make a difference in Amarillo.

50 Texas based Bank of America volunteers are helping build 3 Habitat for Humanity homes. The homes are being built in the 1600 block of Terry. The building blitz will go on for the next 3 days . It was originally scheduled for a month ago but Hurricane Ike changed the date for the Amarillo build. The bank donated six million dollars for this project.

This is the 5th year that Bank of America has helped the Habitat. The Habitat families also put in Fifteen hundred hours "sweat equity" as part of the building process.
