A Very Special Wreath

The City of Amarillo has proclaimed October Breast Cancer Awareness Month today. Survivors, American Cancer Society Members and representatives from the Susan G. Koman Foundation were on hand to share in the special reading.

A pink wreath was put up in the lobby of City Hall and will stay throughout the month. A 21 year  breast cancer survivor says early detection is the key to saving women everywhere. Monthly self exams are also important to protect women from this widespread disease.
