Police have now captured a fourth of the eight men who escaped from the Curry Co. Jail. District Attorney Matt Chandler says police captured and arrested 26-year-old Victor Sotelo in Albuquerque on Thursday night. Sotelo was in jail on aggravated assault charges when he escaped.
Four of the escapees, however, remain on the loose this morning. Larry McClendon, Michael England, Louis Chavez and Edward Salas all have CrimeStoppers rewards out for their arrest.
Also, another family member of an escapee faces charges in connection with the case. Police have charged Hester England, Michael England's mother, with obstruction of justice and aiding a felon.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these four escapees, please call the Curry County Sheriff's Department at (575) 769-2335.
