Deadly Months For Teen Drivers

The deadliest months for teen drivers are here. According to Allstate Insurance Company, September and August rank second and third for months in which Amarillo teen drivers are involved in the most fatal accidents.

Experts say there are three things teens and parents can do to lower the risk of a fatal accident.

1st- Slow down

2nd- Make adjustments to mirrors and the radio before you put the car in drive.

3rd- Do not use phones or try to multitask while driving.

The study found that speed is the number one factor, contributing to deaths in accidents. Car crashes claim the lives of 6,000 teen drivers every year, according to the Allstate report.
