Crime Victims Grant

Programs in our area that help victims of crime will be receiving some funding from the state.

Governor Rick Perry announced the winners of nearly 21-million dollars in grants today.

He says the money is meant to help crime victims achieve full physical, mental and emotional health.

The Panhandle Assessment Center will receive almost 95-thousand dollars, while more the 69-thousand will go to the Panhandle Crisis Center, Inc.

Also, The West Texas Community Supervision and Corrections Department will receive more than 121-thousand dollars.
