Clovis School Scans

A new identification system will be going into place for Clovis schools this week.   The new system will assign each Clovis student a unique number matched to their finger print, which will be used in libraries and cafeterias through out the Clovis school district.

Clovis school district officials say students had difficulty remembering ID cards and pin numbers. District official say, it's difficult for young students to remember their pin and older students often forget their ID cards for the library, which causes slow-moving lines.

They say the identity system is more efficient and accurate.  Once a student is enrolled in the system they will have that identification match as they progress through the Clovis school system.   The school district is expected to save thousands of dollars on ID cards.
