Cannon Air Force Base is now home to the 3rd Special Operations Squadron.

It's a limited trip that not many people get behind theses walls.

And once the computers and TV's turn on, no civilian will be allowed inside.

"They rely heavily on their experienced personal behind the lines. Doing what's important to get the mission done," says Lt. Col. Steve Wood, Special Ops Civil Engineer.

Their primary mission is to assist the guy on the ground. The new unmanned aircraft provide eyes where good guys can't see.

One of the aircraft is called the Predator and it's mission is growing. The Department of Security wants more in the air.

In the end, the Special Operations Wing at Cannon is one of the many military missions keeping the world safe.

The new and improved Cannon Air Force Base has been undergoing changes since October, contributing to millions of dollars in the Clovis community.
