UPDATE: Body Recovered from Lake Tanglewood

The search for a man believed to have drowned in Lake Tanglewood is over. Search crews located Marcell Daigle's body early Tuesday afternoon.

Marcell Daigle's body surfaced around 1:45pm on Tuesday. Randall County officials say he was discovered not far from where they believe the incident happened. His body will now be taken to Lubbock for an official autopsy.

Marcell has been missing since around 7:30 on Saturday night. Over the past three days, dive crews, cadaver dogs, helicopters and sonar have been actively searching the lake. Daigle was Assistant Principal at Amarillo High School during the 2007-2008 school year and worked for AISD for the past six years. He's a lifelong Panhandle resident. He went to Caprock High School and graduated from Amarillo College as well as WT.

We're told he is survived by his wife and two young children in elementary school. Folks we spoke with who knew Daigle describe him as a dedicated educator and a shining star in the Amarillo community. We'll continue to keep you updated on the autopsy results as they become available.
