As of 5:15 on Monday evening, crews are still searching for the man who they believe drowned in Lake Tanglewood over the weekend.

The victim is Amarillo High School Assistant Principal Marcell Daigle. The people we spoke with today describe Marcell as a shining star, someone who will truly be missed. The thirty-year-old is believed to be the victim of an accidental drowning. Marcell was Assistant Principal at Amarillo High School for the past year and worked for AISD for the past six years.

He grew up in Amarillo. Former Amarillo High Principal Doug Loomis says "he was a Caprock graduate and very proud to be a Longhorn. He went to Amarillo College and WT. He was dedicated to the field. He subbed for the district before he was certified."

During his short stint at Amarillo High, we're told he truly left a mark on the children he worked with. "We will miss Marcell tremendously. He was the kind of educator that parents come up to you and say wow, "I'm really glad my child got the chance to work with him and be with him."

Randall County officials say cadaver dogs are currently on scene to aid in what's being called a recovery mission. We're told Marcell is survived by his wife and two young children. We'll continue to keep you updated on this investigation as we learn more information.
