National Park Service Set to Hold Meetings About Off-Road Vehicles

The National Park Service will be hosting a series of three public meetings to discuss the future for two off-road vehicle sites at the Lake Meredith Recreation Area.

The open-house style meetings hope to bring in public opinon for what the National Park Service should to to make Blue Creek ORV area and Rosita ORV are safer and more family friendly.

Superintendent Cindy Ott-Jones says the meetings are the first step to manager the properties better and work toward getting federal funding to improve both sites.

The first meeting is Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sanford-Fritch Middle School Cafeteria.

Wednesday at the Dumas First State Bank Community Room from 6:00p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Thursday in Amarillo at The Ambassador Hotel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m.

The Park Service is inviting the entire public to come and share their thoughts and concerns for the off-road vehicle sites.
