New Mexico "DrunkBusters" Program

Drinking and driving in New Mexico, it's not just law enforcement who'll be looking for offenders this 4th of July weekend.

New Mexico police will start sending letters to drivers who were reported in the state's DrunkBuster's anti DWI hotline. The letters will tell people their vehicle was reported to be driving erratically or in an unsafe manner.

Last year 16 thousand calls came into the hotline and nearly 900 motorist were stopped by police. 200 driving while under the influence arrest were made.
