Clovis Animal Task Force Takes First Step

A newly formed Animal Task Force in Clovis is studying the animal population in order to help control strays.

Subcommittees are focusing on four areas of improvement...the spay and neutering program, the euthanasia program, licensing, and the transfer program.

The groups will meet to discuss solutions, then make recommendations to Clovis city commissioners. The task force was formed in mid-June to help control the high number of stray cats and dogs in the city.
