Oklahoma Panhandle Drought Conditions Worse Than Dustbowl

The Oklahoma Panhandle is now drier than it was in the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.

Drought conditions in the are area are now the most severe they can get. The United States Drought Monitor just gave the situation an exceptional rating...its most serious rating.

Boise City has received just 1.35 inches of rain this year, a record low.

Soil tests show no moisture as far as 4 inches into the ground.
