Texas man faces life if convicted

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - A 38-year-old Texas man has been charged with possessing cyanide and trying to sell it to an FBI informant.

Prosecutors say 38-year-old Jeffrey Don Detrixhe of Higgins was indicted today on two counts of possessing prohibited chemical weapons and a count of unlawful possessoin of firearms.

Detrixhe could face up to life in prison if convicted of the felonies.

Prosecutors sayFBI agents executed a search warrant at Detrixhe's residence May 12th and discovered a container of material suspected to be sodium cyanide. Detrixhe was arrested the same day without incident in Holly Creek, Oklahoma, and remains in custody.
