Texas Sec. of State Wilson Resigns

Texas Secretary of State Phil Wilson is resigning.  He is stepping down to work for a Dallas-based energy company as a senior vice president.

His last day in Austin will be July 6 and he will start his new job at Luminant, a subsidiary of Energy Future Holdings, on July 7.

Wilson was appointed Secretary of State by Governor Rick Perry almost a year ago.
