Suspected Amarillo Bank Robber Killed in Dallas Standoff

A man suspected of robbing two Amarillo banks is killed by Dallas police in a standoff.

Amarillo police say 42 year old Daniel Devette Ross barricaded himself in a Dallas home this past Friday.

Dallas police say Ross raised a rifle towards officers, and was then killed by the Dallas SWAT team.

Last week, a warrant was issued out of Randall County for Ross's arrest in the May 24th robbery of the Happy State Bank at 34th and Bell. Ross is also suspected of robbing the Happy State Bank at 58th and Western earlier this year.
