HOUSTON (AP) - An appeals court has rejected immunity claims by Texas A&M University administrators in lawsuits stemming from the school's deadly bonfire collapse. The 10th Court of Appeals upheld today a lower court's ruling that allows the administrators to remain as defendants. That's because they are being sued as individuals and not in their official capacities.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio has won a 5-year, $26 million grant to help turn medical discoveries into patient treatments more quickly. Republican Senator John Cornyn and the National Institutes of Health announced the award today.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Two Fort Bliss soldiers remain jailed today in a sexual assault case involving a girl under 14. Pfc. Adam Avenetti and Pfc. Mario Hunter are from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division. The 19-year-olds were turned over to local police Tuesday.
