High Injury Rate for Firearms in Curry County

Curry County has one of the highest non-fatal firearm injury rates in New Mexico.

That's according to a study conducted by the New Mexico Gun-Related Injury Surveillance organization.

It shows Curry County has a rate of 25 injuries for every 100 thousand people. Roosevelt County has a rate of almost 11 injuries per 100 thousand.
