Rare Coins May Lead to Killer

Rare coins stolen from an Amarillo man could lead back to his killer... That's what Amarillo Police are saying this evening.

77 year old Max Stanhope was killed in his home. Police believe it was Thursday night into Friday morning...when he walking in on his home being robbed.

They are now linking his murder to a burglary on April 21st at his residence.

During that robbery rare coins, including painted and colored quarters were taken from Stanhopes home.

Potter - Randall Special crimes believe the robbers may have come back. In fact they say whoever has these coins has information on Stanhope's murder.
