New Safety Measures on Facebook

Online predators are becoming more and more common, and the popular social networking site Facebook is increasing it's safety measures to protect your kids.

Here's what they're doing... Refusing sexual predators access, having stricter restrictions for those over 18 and getting rid of pedophile related groups. Ray Wilson, cat-man-du President and CEO says while it's a good faith effort by Facebook, it's hard to enforce, and nearly impossible to police with so much traffic on the website.

Facebook drafted an agreement between them and all the state's Attorneys General to make stopping online predators a joint effort. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott was the only one not to sign it...saying he doesn't think the measures are doing enough to help our kids. This isn't the first time Abbott has vetoed online safety legislation...he recently did the same thing with MySpace.
