Deputy Treated For Smoke Inhalation

A Gray County sheriff's deputy was back at work Friday after he is treated for smoke inhalation while assisting with a 600 acre range fire that burned in Gray county Thursday night.

Lt. Joe Hoard with the Gray County Sheriff's Department spokesman says the fire started around 6:30 pm on Fm 2300 between County Road L and County Road N.

He says crews from Hoover, Groom, White Deer, Gray County, Skellytown and Lefors helped fight the large blaze.

The deputy was taken to the Pampa Regional medical Center for his injuries and was released a short time later.
