Car Slams Into Clovis Home, Man Charged With DWI

A Clovis man remained in the hospital Friday evening after police say he drove his car into two separate homes.

Clovis police say the suspect, Paul Apodaca, is charged with Driving While Intoxicated for the incident that happened around 2:00 Friday morning.

They say Apodaca was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and hit part of a garage of a house on Cesar Chavez before ending up in the bedroom of the house next door.

A man was sleeping in the room where the car hit. He was taken by helicopter to a Lubbock hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Paul Apodaca will be arrested after he is released from the Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
