Clovis Liaison Officers Being Pulled

The Clovis police department will be pulling some their officers from area schools next year, thanks to a shortage in resources.

Chief Dan Blair says now just one officer will serve as a school liaison, the other three officers originally assigned to schools will now return to the streets.

Chief Blair says they will now work with school officials on determining when they should call police and when they should be able to handle the situation themselves.

Currently the Police department is short more than 6 officers.
