Shots Fired in Robbery

Two men who reportedly shot at and robbed an Amarillo senior citizen are on the loose tonight.

Amarillo Police say the crime happened just after 11:30 in the 78 hundred block of Greenbrier. The victim told police two men in ski masks confronted him as he was getting out of his car. They reportedly demanded money and threatened him with a gun.

The 61 year old says he gave the two cash and ran inside his garage. That's when one of the men reportedly opened fire. Shooting three bullets that hit a car inside the garage.

The man was not struck. The armed men then left in a dark two door vehicle.

This evening Amarillo Police are asking anyone with information on the crime to call 378-3038.
