Are Annual Physicals Worth Your Time and Money?

Your annual physical might not be worth your time and money.

Researchers are now questioning whether people who visit the doctor regularly for reasons like Diabetes, Pap Smears or Mammograms need a special trip just for an annual physical.

A local doctor says because most americans do not take care of themselves the way they should, a special trip is necessary.

LA. White says, "the way people are doing now, their health is not as good as it used to be. People are not taking as good, care their self. I've seen heart attacks at thirty could be prevented."

More than sixty-three million U.S. adults visit a doctor annually.

But researchers estimate the U.S. Healthcare System would need to provide an additional 145 million visits if every adult had an annual physical.

The average adult spends $116 on a 23 minute check-up.
