Cantaloupe Contamination

Some cantaloupes are being linked to more than 50 cases of illness in the country... Including in Oklahoma.

The Food and Drug administration says you should throw away any cantaloupes from the agropeckuaria montelibano company.... Because officials believe the fruit is linked to a salmonella outbreak.

That is a honduras company and FDA officials say residents should check with stores to see if cantaloupes sold there are from the country.

The FDA is also advising against purchasing or eating any bruised or damaged cantaloupes. And recommends discarding cut cantaloupe if it's left at room temperature for more than two hours.
