Cloud Seeding Ends In Randall County

Today, a controversial program to make rain  ends in Randall County.

The permit was renewed to continue the program in other counties that are part of the Panhandle Ground Water Conservation District's target area. They include, Carson, Donley, Gray, Roberts, and Wheeler. And parts of Armstrong, Hutchinson, Hemphill, Potter counties.

Randall County passed a resolution Tuesday to end the cloud seeding program, but only the state has the authority to actually make that happen. The Executive Director of state licensing did just that after receiving an amended license application to exclude Randall County.
