Wendy Blackwell attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Baylor University in Waco, Texas graduating with a BACHELOR'S DEGREE in English in 1991. She earned her DOCTORATE OF JURISPRUDENCE from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Amarillo Bar Association.
From 1994 until 1999, Wendy was an Assistant Criminal District Attorney with the Randall County Criminal District Attorneys' Office in Canyon, Texas acting as chief misdemeanor and juvenile prosecutor. After taking some time off from her profession to care for her young children, Wendy joined with her husband, Troy Blackwell, to form the Blackwell Law Firm L.L.P in 2003. Her current practice merges with her desire to help families deal with their estate matters with her years of experience prosecuting criminal cases. She focuses her current practice on the area of wills and estate planning and on traffic tickets. Her goal is to help ordinary people deal with every day legal problems.
A native of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, Wendy has lived in Amarillo since 1994, where she and her husband happily raise their son and twin daughters.
