Voters Switch Parties to Participate in Local Races

The democratic presidential race is hinging on today and the way Texans vote... But that didn't sway some local democratic voters who chose to participate in the heated local races.

We ran into several democratic voters who said they wanted a say in either the republican candidates for the Potter County Sheriff race or the 108th District Judge Contest... So they chose to vote as republicans.

Randy Tupin, a Democrat who voted Republican says, "I have a very close friend who is running for judge, and I thought my vote would mean more for his election that the presidential election."

It wasn't just democrats switching over... One republican voter told me he was voting for Clinton, to keep Obama from getting the nomination.
