Man Dies After Car Is Rammed Into Column At Bank

Two men in a stolen car ram another vehicle intentionally and kill the driver.  That is what Amarillo police are saying about the city's latest homicide.

Just after two Sunday morning, witnesses say they saw two men in an SUV ram another car against a concrete block, killing 18 year old Andrew Santos, and leaving his 17 year old female passenger fighting internal injures right now.

It all took place here, in the parking lot of Amarillo Community Federal Credit Union, in the 61 hundred block of I-40 West.

Witnesses say after the men hit the smaller car then fled north bound on foot.

The jaws of life were used to get the victims out... But it was already too late for Santos.

Police say the SUV had been reported stolen hours after the incident.

They believe this wasn't an accident, and are interviewing two people of interest.  No arrests have been made and the Potter-Randall County Special Crimes Unit is asking anyone with information to call them at 378-9468.
