Officials are Eager for Answers

The person setting these fires is more dangerous and thoughtless than a crook with a loaded hand gun...that's what Amarillo Arson Investigators are saying today.

Amarillo officials are eager to find whoever set yesterday's fires.  Amarillo Fire Marshall Terry McKinney says they have found where each fire was set and they have visible evidence of arson.

"There were no other possible causes and we did find evidence of intentionally set fires at those three. "

The police department tells us they believe someone has information about the person or people who started the fires.

Now the department is asking for the help of the public. A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest.

Officials are also urging the community to continue to watch for suspicious activity particularly in rural areas.

If you have any information or see anything suspicious please call Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
