Republican Get out the Vote

Members of the Republican party gathered to pay tribute to some of their great historical leaders, all while enjoying some food and fun.

Area Republicans hosted the get out the vote rally this evening at the American Quarter Horse Heritage Center.

A key point was to honor two of the Republican party's most cherished members, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.

"People who have built the tradition of the U.S. This is to celebrate their tradition, and their legacy to us," said Texas Senator Kel Seliger.

With all the hype surrounding this year's presidential election, the group met in leisure to sit back and soak up what's been going on within the Republican party.

"We thought it would be a nice thing just to get together. Just talk about how proud we are to be Americans, and to be ready for the coming year," added U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry.
