Range Fire Under Control in Deaf Smith County

The cause of a large range fire that burned in Deaf Smith county has been determined.

Fire officials say sparks from a piece of heavy machinery caused this fire that burned near the Randall County line around 3:30 Friday afternoon.

Crews from Randall County, Deaf Smith county, and the Texas Forest Service worked quickly to head off the blaze.

We're told no structures burned, and no word yet on how many acres burned.
