Two Sentenced In Shooting of 10 Year Old

One man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for the shooting death of a 10 year old Clovis boy, and his accomplice could spend up to 24 years in prison.

9th Judicial District Attorney Matthew Chandler says 22 year old Demetrio Salas was sentenced to Life plus 10 years for shooting Carlos Perez.

His accomplice, 31 year old David Griego, was sentenced to 16 years, but prosecutors are seeking an additional 8 years because he is a repeat offender.

Ten year old Carlos Perez was found shot in the head as he slept in a Clovis apartment in September of 2005.
