Mountain Lions in Oklahoma Panhandle

Mountain lions live in the Oklahoma Panhandle.

The state Wildlife Department does not have evidence of widespread migration, but they have found two dead mountain lions in Cimarron County.

Professionals killed one caught killing goats.

They found another big cat outfitted with a tracking collar killed by a train.

Wildlife workers have also found a dead mountain lion in Roger Mills County, just to the east of Wheeler and Hemphill Counties, and another one turned up dead in the center of the state near I-35 in Purcell.
