Last Minute Shoppers

Store doors are closing around Amarillo right now...

Most people tried to finished shopping before today...but that was not the case for one shopper who was still out getting gifts just a little while ago.

Steve Rehkopf is used to being out picking up gifts the day before christmas.

"I always wait til the last minute to do my shopping, it doesn't take long because there isn't very many choices left, what I see is what you get."

Rehkopf says he is used to fighting the lines... But not all shoppers plan on being out today like he did.

"It was a crisis, there was gifts I had ordered on-line but didn't come so I had to switch to plan B." say last minute shopper Curry Willix.

Plan B seemed to be the theme for those who could not find what they wanted.

Sherilyn Poteet says, "Santa was gonna bring money."

Overall stores says they did see a large crunch of people coming in at the last minute.

"It was slow his morning, people waking up and getting out. And now it's gotten pretty hectic up here, a lot of people getting out and buying last minute gifts." Best Buy Customer Service Manager Jeremy Lunsford says.

Stores will be re-opening wWdnesday morning... And are still expecting customers to poor in with returns, using gift cards, or just looking for those after Christmas sales.
