Secret Santa in Clovis

Every day this week, the staff of Rooney and Moon in the Morning gathers Christmas presents to deliver to Clovis families in need this holiday season.

This year, they raised more than $20,000 for the project.

Secret Santa has become a Clovis tradition.

"We have an obligation to give back to the community. The community always supports us. There's not a better time than Christmas. It really hits home at Christmas," said duffy moon.

"This is the first year i've made it out of the studio and onto the deliveries. The looks on people's faces, that's what makes it worth it," added Steve Rooney

The family we followed lost most of their home to Clovis' most recent tornado.

Along with all the presents, the family was presented with $1,000 to help them get back on their feet.

It was quite a surprise for the family.

"Last year was a good year because i donated to secret santa. It shows that if you give, you'll get back when you need it," said Mrs. Smith, one of the recipients.

The event finishes up tomorrow with two more deliveries in the area.

When the project is all said and done 11 families will not only receive christmas, but get a chance to get back on top of life.
