NM Lottery Lawsuit Dismissed

A New Mexico judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by area convenience store owners and employees against the State Lottery.

Plaintiffs from Clovis, Portales and Logan sued the State for misrepresenting scratch-off games to the public.

They claim the lottery advertises prizes, and then pulls the games before awarding all the money.

The judge dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice, meaning they can't file it again.

The State Lottery says it will now seek Attorney's fees to cover the cost of defending itself against the complaint.
